Privacy Policy for Lift & Sprint
Effective date: 14 July 2026 | Last updated: 14 July 2026
Lift & Sprint (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates the Lift & Sprint mobile application and the website at liftandsprint.co.uk.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Lift & Sprint app or website.
For privacy-related questions, contact: info@liftandsprint.co.uk
1. Our privacy approach
Lift & Sprint is designed to work without requiring you to create an account, provide a name, create a profile or log in.
Your workout history and most app data are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a Lift & Sprint cloud account service that receives or stores your workout history.
Some third-party services used by the app and website, including Google, Microsoft and website service providers, may process certain information as described below.
2. Workout and training data stored on your device
Lift & Sprint allows you to record information relating to your training, which may include:
- workout names and dates;
- exercises;
- sets and repetitions;
- weights;
- personal-best records;
- workout plans;
- sprint intervals;
- warm-up, recovery and cooldown periods;
- rounds and durations;
- cardio or conditioning activity;
- training history and statistics.
This information is stored locally on your device. We do not require a Lift & Sprint account and we do not receive or store your workout history on our own servers.
Because this information is stored locally, it may be lost if you uninstall the app, clear the app's storage, reset or lose your device, or experience device or storage failure.
3. App settings and local preferences
Lift & Sprint stores certain settings and preferences locally on your device so the app can remember how you have chosen to use it. These may include:
- Light, Dark or System Default appearance;
- walkthrough completion status;
- review-prompt status;
- consent and privacy-option status where applicable;
- Premium entitlement cache;
- other app settings and preferences.
These settings are used to provide app functionality and are not used by Lift & Sprint to create a behavioural advertising profile of you.
4. Website information and server logs
When you visit liftandsprint.co.uk, technical information may be processed automatically by our hosting provider and other service providers. This may include information such as:
- IP address;
- browser and device type;
- operating system;
- requested pages and files;
- date and time of requests;
- referring pages or websites;
- security, diagnostic and error information.
This information may be used to deliver the website, maintain security, diagnose problems and understand website performance.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (“Google Analytics”) on liftandsprint.co.uk to understand how the website is used and to improve its content and performance.
Depending on configuration and your consent choices, Google Analytics may process information including:
- page views and website interactions;
- session information;
- approximate location;
- browser and device information;
- referral and traffic-source information;
- a pseudonymous client identifier stored in a first-party cookie such as
_ga.
We do not intentionally send your workout history or information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address, to Google Analytics.
Google processes information collected through Google Analytics under its own terms and privacy documentation.
6. Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity on liftandsprint.co.uk to understand how visitors interact with the website and to improve usability, layout and performance.
Clarity may process information about website interactions such as:
- pages visited;
- clicks and taps;
- scrolling behaviour;
- navigation patterns;
- browser and device information;
- session and diagnostic information.
Depending on consent and configuration, Clarity may use cookies or similar technologies, including first-party cookies such as _clck and _clsk, to associate page views and sessions.
Microsoft processes information collected through Clarity under its own privacy terms and service documentation.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website operation, analytics, security and measurement.
We use Cookiebot CMP to present and record website cookie choices. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are enabled only when Cookiebot reports consent for the Statistics category.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use non-essential analytics cookies or similar technologies. Where consent is required by applicable law, non-essential cookies should only be set after the required consent has been obtained. We do not treat continued browsing alone as consent.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies may reduce the amount of information available to us about how the website is used but should not prevent access to the core public website.
8. Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to verify ownership of liftandsprint.co.uk and to understand how the website appears and performs in Google Search.
A Google Search Console verification meta tag may be present in the website's HTML to prove site ownership. We do not use that verification tag as a visitor analytics script.
Google Search Console may provide us with search-performance information such as search queries, impressions, clicks, indexing status and technical website issues. This service is operated by Google under Google's own terms and privacy documentation.
9. iPhone notification list and email communications
If you voluntarily submit your email address through the website to receive an iPhone launch notification or another requested update, we use the email address for that purpose.
The website may use a form-processing provider to transmit the information you submit to our email inbox. That provider may process your email address and form submission as necessary to deliver the message.
We will not require an app account to send these communications. You may ask to stop receiving optional communications at any time by contacting info@liftandsprint.co.uk.
10. Google AdMob advertising
The free version of Lift & Sprint may display advertisements supplied by Google AdMob.
Depending on your location, consent choices, device settings and the type of advertising available, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:
- IP address;
- device and operating-system information;
- app information;
- advertising identifiers or similar device identifiers where permitted;
- approximate location inferred from information such as IP address;
- advertising interactions;
- diagnostic and performance information.
Advertising may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your choices, applicable law and Google's advertising services.
Lift & Sprint does not receive your full advertising profile from Google.
Premium users do not receive Lift & Sprint's in-app advertising where ad removal is included as part of the Premium entitlement.
11. Advertising consent and privacy choices in the app
Where required, Lift & Sprint uses Google's consent-management tools to request or manage choices relating to advertising and the use of device information.
Where available, you can review or update relevant choices through Settings → Privacy options.
The exact options shown may depend on your location and the requirements that apply to Google and its advertising services.
12. Google Play Billing and Premium purchases
Lift & Sprint offers a permanent Premium upgrade as a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play.
Payments are processed by Google Play. Lift & Sprint does not receive or store your full payment-card or banking details.
The app receives purchase-status information from Google Play where necessary to:
- process a Premium purchase;
- confirm whether the Google Play account currently owns the Premium product;
- automatically restore Premium following reinstallation or use on another compatible device;
- provide a manual Restore Premium Purchase function;
- update Premium access if Google Play confirms that an entitlement has been refunded, revoked or is otherwise no longer owned.
Lift & Sprint may store a local Premium entitlement status on your device so that previously confirmed Premium access can remain available during temporary network or Google Play Billing interruptions.
No Lift & Sprint account or login is required to restore Premium. Restoration depends on access to the Google Play account that owns the purchase.
13. Google Play ratings and reviews
Lift & Sprint may occasionally invite you to rate or review the app after you have used it for a period of time.
The app may store limited information locally on your device to remember whether a review prompt has already been shown, deferred or actioned. This is used only to avoid repeatedly prompting you.
If you choose to rate or review Lift & Sprint, the rating and review process is handled by Google Play. Lift & Sprint does not collect your star rating or review text directly through the app and cannot reliably determine whether you ultimately submitted a review.
14. Communications and support
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, your name if included in your email account or message, the content of your message, and any information you voluntarily provide.
We use this information to respond to enquiries, provide support, investigate problems and manage communications relating to Lift & Sprint.
Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information.
15. Third-party services
Lift & Sprint may use or interact with third-party services including:
- Google Play and Google Play Billing;
- Google AdMob;
- Google's consent-management services;
- Google Play's in-app review service;
- Google Analytics;
- Google Search Console;
- Microsoft Clarity;
- Cookiebot CMP;
- device operating-system and text-to-speech services;
- website hosting, email and form-processing providers.
These services may process information under their own privacy policies and terms. Their data practices, retention periods and processing locations are controlled by the relevant provider.
16. Legal bases for processing
Where UK data-protection law applies and Lift & Sprint acts as the controller of personal information, processing may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Consent
Where you are asked to make a choice about non-essential cookies, advertising or similar processing that requires consent.
Contract
Where processing is necessary to provide a service or functionality you have requested, such as handling a Premium purchase.
Legitimate interests
Where reasonably necessary to operate and improve Lift & Sprint, understand website performance, respond to support enquiries, maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, and manage communications, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Legal obligation
Where information must be processed or retained to comply with applicable law.
17. Data retention
Workout and training data
Workout history, plans and related training information remain stored locally on your device until you delete them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
App preferences
Local settings and preferences generally remain on your device until changed, cleared or removed through app uninstallation or device storage controls.
Premium entitlement cache
A local Premium entitlement status may remain on your device until it is updated following a successful Google Play ownership check, app storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
Website analytics
Google and Microsoft determine retention periods for information they process through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We may also configure retention settings within those services.
Support and iPhone notification communications
Emails and communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry, provide the requested update, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.
18. International processing
Some third-party service providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom.
Where this occurs, the relevant provider is responsible for applying appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
19. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights including:
- the right to be informed about how your personal information is used;
- the right to request access to personal information we hold about you;
- the right to request correction of inaccurate information;
- the right to request deletion of information in certain circumstances;
- the right to request restriction of processing;
- the right to object to certain processing;
- the right to data portability where applicable;
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Because Lift & Sprint does not receive or store your locally held workout history, we cannot retrieve that data from your device on your behalf.
For information processed directly by a third-party provider such as Google or Microsoft, you may also need to exercise your rights through that provider.
To contact us about your privacy rights, email info@liftandsprint.co.uk.
20. Deleting your information
Lift & Sprint does not require a central user account.
You can remove locally stored app data by:
- using available deletion controls within Lift & Sprint;
- clearing Lift & Sprint's app storage through your device settings; or
- uninstalling the app.
Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app may permanently remove locally stored workout history, plans and settings.
Deleting local app data does not automatically delete purchase records, ratings, reviews, analytics information or other information held independently by Google, Microsoft or another third-party provider.
21. Automated decision-making
Lift & Sprint does not use your workout data to make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
22. Security
We take reasonable steps to design and operate Lift & Sprint securely. However, no device, website, software application or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device, browser and Google Play account.
23. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle personal information, please contact us first at info@liftandsprint.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed.
24. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Lift & Sprint changes, when third-party services change, or when legal or regulatory requirements change.
The latest version will be published with an updated revision date.
